Great content can help you get discovered, stand out from the crowd and generate business.

Are you struggling to find the right words?

You're not alone. Most of my clients are too busy running their businesses to have time to think about learning copywriting for the web or how to optimise their text for search engines – and humans! I have helped take clients from Page 5 (aka nowhere-ville) on Google to top position on Page 1 for targeted search terms, and helped other clients rework and reformat their text to eliminate jargon, develop strong messaging, and come up with a content plan to help them break into a crowded market. Over 8 years of my digital career involved writing and optimising content for FTSE 500 corporates, NGOs and international charities, and I've been applying the skills I learned there to my SME and startup clients since starting my own business in 2007. I can help you, too.

Do you need jawdropping images?

If you need assistance with image research, I can help you find images that don't look like all the other stock images on your competitors' websites, and I can often bring a fresh perspective... who would have thought putting a pumpkin pie on a financial services website would work so well.

I'm also a whizz when it comes to Photoshop, and I have a degree in Fine Art Photography, so I know my way around images and how to get the best from them, even if your starting images aren't great. I can carry out everything from basic edits to complex composites to create powerful images that bring your website and marketing campaigns to life. Here are just a couple of examples (more coming soon) - flick through the two galleries below to see the different image components that went into making the final images for this tech startup's website, londonsightsapp.com:

How it works

You can use the form on this page to send me information about what you need doing, or you can book a free briefing call to explain what you want verbally. Once I have a solid understanding of exactly what you need, I'll send you an email with a proposal outlining what I will do for you, and how much it will cost, and then you can book me to carry out the work. If you're booking a Squarespace website design & build project with me, you can request content services as part of that project, too.

How long will it take?

The amount of time (and lead time) will depend on how much work is involved, and what other projects I have in the pipeline. For larger projects where there's a content component on top of a web design & build, I normally require 4-6 weeks notice. For content-only projects, the lead time varies - sometimes I can fit you in within a few weeks, but if not, I will always let you know upfront so no one's time is wasted.

How much will it cost?

This varies widely, but as a rough guideline:

  • £350+ for reviewing/reformatting text content for a small website
  • £150+ for image composites
